Margy Green has had nearly two decades experience as a Social Worker. She has nearly fifteen years working in the government sector with Department of Communities and Justice and NSW Health. This included leading the Social Work team as Senior Social Worker at The Forensic Hospital in Sydney working with adolescents and families (2015-2019), and Child and Adolescent Mental Health (2019 – 2021). Her non-government experience includes Adolescent Family Therapy at Relationships Australia, Anglican Youthworks and Student Liaison Tutoring with UNSW.
In 2017 Margy completed a Churchill Fellowship on how to better support families connected with high secure forensic environments. Margy is a Clinical Family Therapist with the Australian Association of Family Therapy, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers and an accredited Victims Services Counsellor with NSW Department of Justice. Margy continues to specialise in working with children and young people and their families dealing with complex social issues. She facilitates Tuning in to Teens parenting program and the Family Systems Institutes Parent Hope Project. She is also an Advisory Board Member with FEFO Consulting, a team of Risk, Health and Safety experts.
