Thomas is a Registered Psychologist and an Associate Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association. Thomas holds an Honours degree in Psychology from Macquarie University and a Master of Clinical Psychology degree from Macquarie University.
Thomas has worked with children and adults in public and private settings, including The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Canteen Australia and MindSpot. He has a special interest in internet gaming disorder and gaming use, youth mental health, chronic health conditions, including major illnesses such as cancer, and grief and loss. In addition, Thomas has experience working across a range of difficulties across the lifespan, including anxiety and depressive disorders, and adjustment issues.
Thomas works to provide a warm and collaborative space in therapy, and employs a range of evidence-based psychological interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), to support his clients achieve their goals in treatment.
